Peter Ma `s Art

Peter Ma- was born in 1956, a professor in Fine Arts College of Chongqing University, member of the China Association of Artists.
The simple style is the man himself.
His subject matter is Mountain Daba where is a small town in southwest of Sichuan province in China, he grew up. Mr Daba is a true portrayal of his life, is where he is at and is Peter Ma himself.
The images of the villagers appear very often in his numerous paintings. The figures are blended with the landscape so naturally. There is neither any literary statement of the plot, not any suspicion of hunting for novelty. They are the revelation of the mountains, of the harmony between Hume being and nature. In recent years, the bold colours in his paintings tend to be exquisite. However, the subjectivity and surrealism are still the characteristics of his paintings. The poetic colors, the expressive wielding of the pen, accompanied by the musical structures and forms, distinguish the artists in the art circles.
